This is the spine of volume 2 of the 1851 George P. Putnam First Edition. All designs and words are written in gilded letters. The Wide, Wide World Vol. 2 is written at the top fourth, and Putnam (not capitalized) is written at the bottom fourth of the spine. There are four floral designs with ruled lines separating them from each other and the words. This spine is the same as the first volume.
