Description

In the title page of James Nisbet, Hamilton, Adams & Co.'s 1853 edition of the novel, the title is printed in the page's top quarter followed by a period. The author's pseudonym Elizabeth Wetherell, as well as the title of a separate work, is printed below. An inscription taken from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, "To a Child," appears in the page's middle. The novel is listed as the first volume of a new edition.
