This is the recto of the front flyleaf of Volume 1 of the 1852 James Nisbet, Sampson Low, Hamilton, Adams & Co. Second Edition. There is an inscription which reads, "Frances L. Warner, Sep. 29, 1852."

Recto of Front Flyleaf from the 1879 James Nisbet & Co. "Golden Ladder Series" Reprint has a hand written note. the inscription reads "Martha Joanna Burn Stead. Brawford Church Choir. Easter 1881." There is evidence of foxing on the page.

This is the Recto of Front Flyleaf with Inscription of the [1894] William L. Allison Co. "Allison's Standard Library" Reprint. The print on this flyleaf is a golden floral pattern which matches the previous paste down. In the center of the page a previous reader's name, "Alice Robbins" is written in pencil.
