This is the illustration on Page 118c of the 1853 G. Routledge and Co. Reprint depicting Ellen and Nancy at the brook. In this black and white illustration, Ellen is in the brook, reaching up to Nancy for help. Nancy does not seem to be helping her. They are covered by foliage. The caption reads, "Ellen falls into the Brook. --P. 119."

This is the title page vignette to the 1853 G. Routledge and Co. Reprint Depicting Alice telling Ellen of her illness. In this black and white illustration, The Wide, Wide World by Elizabeth Wetherall is written inside a moon on the top third of the page. Ellen is lying on the ground, crying into her arm. Alice stands reaching for her, with a Bible? in her hand. They are surrounded by flowers and bushes. George Routledge & Co. Farringdon Street London. follows the illustration.

In this black and white illustration, Ellen is left standing at the front of the inn with her trunk on the ground behind her. She is surrounded by chickens and ducks, while the housekeeper is sweeping off the porch of the inn behind her. Ellen is staring at the coach that is leaving town, while the housekeeper is looking at her. The caption reads, "Ellen Left at the Door of the Village Inn. --P. 81. Front."
