Description
This is the full cover of volume 2 of the 1852 George P. Putnam 16th edition, version 2. The deep blue cloth binding is stamped with a rib grain (labeled Rib3 by the Library Company of Philadelphia). Centered on both front and back covers is the publisher's mark for Putnam. The spine has the title inside a small decorative border; beneath this is the number "2." At the bottom of the spine is the name "Putnam." All words and decorations are in gilt.
