Ward, Lock, and Co. used this light green, cloth-covered binding for their 1927 edition of The Wide, Wide World. In the middle of the cover, in a circle, sits Ellen on a bed in a blue dress.  The dress, made in a Victorian style, gives a more modern view of Ellen as a young girl.
