James Nisbet & Co. used this red, cloth-covered binding for the cover of an [1896] edition of The Wide, Wide World.  The cover features the name of the novel in gold gilt, a picture of Ellen Montgomery riding horse while Alice Humphreys walks beside her, printed in black ink, and the name of the author, printed in black ink, in the bottom right-hand corner of the cover.

This is the front pastedown and the first page of the front advertisements in the 1853 H.G. Bohn "Standard Library" Reprint. This advertisement features other books in Bohn's Standard Library. This front pastedown has a decorative blue border, and the words are written in blue as well. The number 7 is written in black ink and circled in the middle of the page, as well as #130.

This is the front pastedown and first page of front advertisements in the 1853 T. Nelson & Sons "Nelson's Library for Travellers and the Fireside" reprint. The entire page has a simple boarder around it with book ornaments in each corner. The page begins with the title "List of Works published by T. Nelson and Sons". The citites appear next, followed by the subtitle "and to be obtained by order of all booksellers". There isa zierrat with an unfilled diamond below, followed by the list of titles. These titles include:Ruins of Sacred and Historic Lands, The Reverend Bishop Russel's History of Egypt, and Palestine, Sir Leslie's Discovery and Adventure in the Polar Seas and Regions, The Seasons of the Year, and Professor Olmstead's The Mechanism of the Heavens. Each title has a short paragraph of description with it. Written at the top of the page is written "17" and "#319" in ink by a previous owner.
