Description

Volume 2 of the 1851 George P. Putnam is covered with a blue leather grain embossed buckram (labeled Lea5 by the Library Company of Philadelphia). The front and back covers have an arabesque border. Both front and back panels have a publisher's mark, a scroll work "P." The title is gilt-stamped at the top of the spine; "Putnam" is gilt-stamped at the bottom edge of the spine.
