Description
This 1851 George P. Putnam First Edition is covered with a blue leather grain embossed cloth (labeled Lea5 by the Library Company of Philadelphia). The front and back covers have an ornate arabesque blind-stamped border. The Putnam seal is blind-stamped in the center of the front and back covers. The title is at the top of the spine and the publisher's name, Putnam, is at the bottom of the spine. Both are gilt-stamped.
