This is shown as the ship that Ellen takes during her passage from New York City to upper New York. This ship has also been depicted as the ship that ship that she crosses that Atlantic Ocean in. This can be found on page 62. There is evidence of foxing on the page.

In the illustration, Ellen is embracing her mother in bed as her father reaches for her to come with him. A caption below the illustration reads, "It seemed as if she would pour out her very heart in tears." The scene depicted in this illustration is on page 65 of the novel.
