This is the recto of the front flyleaf of the 1853 Eli Charles Eginton & Co. "Pocket Library" Reprint.

This color aquatint frontispiece appearing in the [1918] Humphrey Milford/Oxford University Press Reprint, depicts Alice and Ellen on The Cat's Back. Alice and Ellen sit on a rock on The Cat's Back. Alice wears a bonnet, a dark blue dress and wraps her left arm around Ellen, and points into the distance with the right. Ellen wears a light blue dress and leans forward slightly to be able to see the village Alice is pointing out to her. Mountains rise up in the background of the illustration. The gentle, flowing colors of the aquatint illustration give a sense of lightness to the scene as the figures are surrounded by a nature that blends together through the colorful movement of the illustration.The name of the illustrator is written in the bottom right corner of the illustration, and a caption below the illustration reads, "You see that little white village yonder?"

This black and white illustration, appearing on page 100a of the [1910] R. F. Fenno & Company reprint, depicts Ellen riding in the ox cart. A caption below the illustration quotes a sentence from page 100 and reads, "Slowly, very slowly, the oxen drew the cart." In the illustration, Ellen and Mr. Van Brunt sit in the ox cart, the path extending in front of and behind them as they prepare to turn a curve. A hill to their left is topped by a house and is spotted with trees while several other houses sit among the rolling hills ahead of them. Two birds circle over the houses.

This black and white illustration appearing on page 483, of the 1892 J. B. Lippincott Company "New Edition" Reprint, depicts Ellen tending a garden in Scotland. In the illustration, Ellen stands leaning against a rake, her hand resting on a blooming branch. She looks away distractedly, and is wearing a gingham gown, a dark jacket, and plain straw brim hat. A tall fence stands behind her, blocking any view of the landscape beyond the tended garden. Several gardening pots and a watering can lie on the ground near Ellen's feet.
